Itinerary & Cabin Types

The Golden Chariot offers 2 itineraries, Pride of Karnataka and Jewels of South.  Each covering iconic destinations with guided sightseeing, cultural experiences, and luxurious onboard services. Below are the 2 itineraries:
  • Pride of Karnataka – Explore Bengaluru, Nanjangud, Mysore, Halebidu, Chikmagalur, Hospet, and Goa.
  • Jewels of South – Explore Bengaluru, Mysore, Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad, Cochin, and Chertala.

The train features two cabin types:

  • Single Cabin (One Person) – Elegantly designed with modern comforts, these cabins offer twin or double beds, an en-suite bathroom, and personalized services.
  • Double Cabin (Two Person) – More spacious with premium interiors, these suites provide extra comfort, a separate seating area, and an enhanced luxury experience.

Inclusions

The Golden Chariot Ticket Price covers accommodation on board, meals, sightseeing trips, and entrance fees for monuments, parks, palaces, and other attractions. It ensures a hassle-free experience with all essential expenses included, allowing travelers to enjoy their journey without worrying about additional costs for these specific services.

Exclusions

The Golden Chariot Ticket Price does not cover tips, phone calls, camera fees at sightseeing locations, SPA and Business car services, liquor, or laundry expenses. These additional costs must be borne separately by travelers, as they are not included in the package.

Terms and Conditions

  • Half fare for children between 5 to 12 years.
  • As per the Govt. of India norms, Service Tax @ 5% is levied on the prevalent tariff.
  • Christmas and New Year being the peak holiday season calls for a 10% surcharge levied on all departures.

Booking Policy

  • At the time of booking: Pay 30% of the published price plus applicable taxes. You must also provide the names and a scanned copy of the passport for all travelers.
  • Final payment: The remaining balance must be paid at least 90 days before departure.

Cancellation by you

This policy outlines the cancellation terms for client bookings. If you need to cancel a booking, please notify us via email.

Cancellation Charges:

  • 90 days or more before departure – 30% deposit is non-refundable.
  • 89 to 75 days before departure – 50% of the booking amount is non-refundable.
  • 74 days to the departure date – 100% of the booking amount is non-refundable.

The departure date is not included when calculating the cancellation period.

No show / En route termination of tour/amendment

  • No Show – In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, no refund or adjustment in future travel will be possible. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited.
  • En route termination of tour – In case of termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be possible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.
  • Any amendment to booked services will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking. Any new arrangements will be considered as a new booking, and cancellation charges will apply according to our terms and conditions.
  • If an amendment is requested 90 days or more before departure, the booking amount will be forfeited as cancellation charges.
  • If an amendment is requested less than 90 days before departure, it will be treated as a cancellation, and cancellation charges will apply as per our policy.

Force Majeure:

Neither party shall be held in breach of this Agreement or considered in default of its obligations if it is unable to fulfill any or all terms due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural disasters: Earthquakes, floods, fires, or other acts of God.
  • Government actions: Laws, regulations, restrictions, or directives from authorities.
  • Civil and military conflicts: Declared or undeclared war, riots, civil disturbances, or insurrections.
  • Terrorism: Actual or threatened terrorist activities.
  • Labor and industrial disputes: Strikes, industrial disputes, or workforce shortages.
  • Public health crises: Epidemics, pandemics, or disease outbreaks.
  • Transportation disruptions: Embargoes, unavailability of venues, or logistical failures.

If any such events occur, the affected party shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement.

JURISDICTION:

Your holiday contract with us is governed by English Law, and both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts at all times. These booking conditions form the basis of your contract and will be legally binding under English law.
